So what now?

Its been a little bit over a minute since I've written anything down. I hope everyone had a good new year. New year's Eve while everyone was out partying it up, I can honestly say I was at home working. I wanted to start the new year off right and push off with some force. Since then I've received the final script for Annihilation Jones, added two pages on to that since then as well. We also got down a soundtrack to the book to keep some flow between your eyes and ears. The Cd has some funk and soul to it, because I really wanted the cd to reflect some of the books tone. Finished some quick freelance, and started hitting the galleries again. I've got some people really wanting to see the new stuff I've done, but I'm hesitant about showing it because I'd sell it right off the bat. I know me too well.

I said before that I was laying out a plan for the new year, and here are some of the things I'll be tackling before the end of '08:

Appear in a couple of publications
Getting Annihilation Jones off the desk and on the shelves.
Finish at least one children's book
Write the follow up Children's title
Getting paintings over to New York (its over due)
Reposition myself with the gallery I work for
Add some new paintings to the same Gallery
Hit some conventions
Have an open to the public gallery show.
Send some paintings to the galleries back home(we'll see how that one goes)

Thats a couple of things for me, it might not seem like too much, but publications are alot harder than they look. Having successful books and paintings take time to do and can't be rushed AT ALL. Especially in a market like comics. True the movie business has there hands out trying to get comic book properties for movies, that doesn't have anything to do with putting a good book out. Its making sure it has an attraction to the audience. A certain uniqueness. Hell maybe if I find the time, I'll find a girlfriend while I'm at it.
