I've been running on fumes the last couple of weeks, really trying to get some of this stuff out for Christmas and run the gallery at the same time. I think there has only been two nights that I've cut loose and relaxed because of birthday parties but thats it. I think on all projects there have been some snags along the way, but ones I'm working through. The one that is giving me the most trouble is the portrait for the woman I spoke about a couple of days ago. It might be the anticipation from her really looking forward to it. The portrait is of her kid and the damn canvas keeps fighting with me. So much to the fact that I have had to use nothing but oil paint on the picture. Normally I'll switch it up and use acrylic or both on one painting, but never straight on Oil paint. I think with this one, I'm going to keep butting heads with it till it comes out, but I can't get behind on the other work either. Here's a snapshot of the kid. Hopefully my eyes don't close before I'm done with it.
